Initial ideas:

Representing the poor quality of pirated, downloaded film, by slicing the phrase in half so that it is less legible.

Another idea to represent the poor quality of dowloaded film using sellotape to decreased legibility of the text, with the end of the phrase that references cinema being in reflective patterned tape to represent the good quality and higher joy from it.

Representing film therapy with the phrase "forget your fuck-ups" written in glue and "focus on the feature' in masking tape for better readability, linking to the idea of focusing.

Final sandwich board design:

Rationale:

Cinema allows you to escape the outside world, becoming invested into the narrative of the film, making you momentarily distracted from the real world. If has been proved a form of therapy, helping the viewer release emotions and be transported into another world. This board aims to promote cinema by making the viewer part of the film scene displayed. By promoting cinema, people will improve their lives in an enjoyable way.

The other designs aim to compare pirated, downloaded films t the cinematic experience in hopes to promote cinema instead.
